A series of bridged hepta isobutyl - Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxane (hib-POSS) with different molecular bridges were synthesized and their heat resistance was studied in both inert (flowing nitrogen) and oxidative (static air) atmospheres. Degradations were carried out into a simultaneous DTA-TG apparatus and the obtained thermogravimetric (TG), differential thermogravimetric (DTG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) curves were discussed and interpreted.

Abstract
