The paper proposes the solution of axisymmetric electrostatic problems by a FEM-BEM method which makes use of a new family of axisymmetric nodal boundary elements. The scalar field is developed by means of classical polynomial shape functions of a given order, whereas its normal derivative is developed with lower-order shape functions. The method can be easily extended to other kinds of static and quasi static electromagnetic field problems.

Abstract
