In this paper a method for the determination of the bounds in terms of frequencies and modal shapes of structures with uncertain stiffness of some structural elements is given. The method is inspired by recent results on the interval eigenvalue problem. In particular, starting from the uncertainty bounds in the stiffness matrix, the possible range of frequency is determined. An application is shown with reference to an earthquake damaged building located in L’Aquila.

Abstract
