Managing reverse logistics of electrical and electronic equipment is a growing concern both regarding legally binding norms and the great contribution they are making to sustainable management of the environment. This work summarises the virtuous alliance between the academic and entrepreneurial: it is fruit of experience gained during a PRIN2005 project on WEEE within a PIA project taken on by Raecycle s.c.p.a.. The alliance created the prototype for a pilot plant which re-cycles CRTs into a raw material at the highest production performance while fully respecting employees and the environment. Furthermore, the process is economically viable and analyses have shown it is capable of interesting future developments alongside the hoped-for evolution in the law.

Abstract
Managing reverse logistics of electrical and electronic equipment is a growing concern both regarding legally binding norms and the great contribution they are making to sustainable management of the environment. This work summarises the virtuous alliance between the academic and entrepreneurial: it is fruit of experience gained during a PRIN2005 project on WEEE within a PIA project taken on by Raecycle s.c.p.a.. The alliance created the prototype for a pilot plant which re-cycles CRTs into a raw material at the highest production performance while fully respecting employees and the environment. Furthermore, the process is economically viable and analyses have shown it is capable of interesting future developments alongside the hoped-for evolution in the law.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
