SACRAL PERSPECTIVE IN TARKOVSKIJ The essay, which focuses primarily on reverse perspective, examines the links between content and form of expression - like those between space and representation of form in architecture - referring them to the sacredness of the film, related to the intentions of theartists of Eastern icons, the Flemish paintings of Bosch and Brueghel and the Italian painting of the '400 and '500. Taking into consideration the sound of silence, able to express the sacredness of the director’s work, the essay also deals with the time function, considering that the time for Tarkovskij is not only narrative, but is often interrupted to move beyond. A clarification, finally, is given to the perception of space, for which the director reverses the relationship with the viewerin a mysterious and profound way, breaking the certainty of geometrical perspective.
