Surveys by the ISPESL [Higher Institute for the Prevention of Accidents and Securityat Work] have highlighted numerous accidents at work in the wine industry related tobuilding type and environmental conditions. To this end research was carried out inseveral wineries in Eastern Sicily. Analyses of the environmental, technological andorganisational needs of work-spaces have produced the technical and functionalcharacteristics of the pathways within and which link every work area. In relation tooperative norms, it has been possible to identify design criteria to guarantee employeesafety.
