The results show good agreement between the signals generated both in the IPMC based sensor matrix and by the actuated coil based matrix. The peculiarity of this sensor-actuator distributed system consists of coupling two different techniques: the IPMC based one and the classical electromagnetic one. It is a reliable low cost device that can be easily extended for high number of sensor-actuator matrices. It is of course included in the class of conformable electronics and control devices. It can be used in man-machine applications and in robotics applications. Both the matrices can be layered in order to have a sensed and perceived continuous signal in 2D dimension

Abstract
The results show good agreement between the signals generated both in the IPMC based sensor matrix and by the actuated coil based matrix. The peculiarity of this sensor-actuator distributed system consists of coupling two different techniques: the IPMC based one and the classical electromagnetic one. It is a reliable low cost device that can be easily extended for high number of sensor-actuator matrices. It is of course included in the class of conformable electronics and control devices. It can be used in man-machine applications and in robotics applications. Both the matrices can be layered in order to have a sensed and perceived continuous signal in 2D dimensionFile | Dimensione | Formato | |
