The Trazzeras’ Royal Property (TRP), the grassy ways used for transhumance, is a relevant part of the landscape capital of Sicily. Its management concerns the legitimation procedures of the parts that have been illegally occupied. A recent bill supposes the legitimation to be framed within a large and qualified planning process involving landscape value and development perspectives. Due to the need for such a general plan on the one hand, and the acknowledgement of the inadequacy of the sale price for legitimation on the other, the implementation of specific assessment tools is required. We propose two different appraisal/assessment patterns: the first one concerns the property value of the (peri-) urban areas; the second one intends to connect the trazzeras within a global green-web on the basis of an ICT tool, a WebGIS allowing users to select/construct the path that suits their preferences and expectations
