Abstract

Mathematical models for prediction of air pollutant levels, produced by industrial plants, have been taken into account. A black box approach, for modeling air pollution is proposed. The main target of the models is the prediction, on the basis of both the meteorological forecasting and the production policy, of pollutant levels, in particular sulfur dioxide has been considered. The integration of this model in an emission control scheme may represent a very useful approach to the air quality problem
