The paper presents an approach to the partitioning of complex systems based on fuzzy logic. An attractive feature of this approach is the possibility of transmitting the experience of an expert designer to an automatic system and thus limiting both problems linked to the high number of simulations required and those relating to the necessity of massive intervention on the part of the designer to guide the design system.
