This work is focused on the analysis of forced migrants systems of admission into the territory ofthe city of Catania with three main aims. The first is to put under analytic light the migratory hub ofCatania (Sicily, Italy) analyzing it as a generator of alternative social forms of solidarity oriented tosurround new present forms of human mobility. With the expression “alternative social forms ofsolidarity” this work wants to put under light an evolutionary dynamic that starting form aconsolidated framework shift to a renewed relational model. The case of migrants’ admittancealternative form in Catania reveals a specific and dynamic solution to a concrete phenomenologicalchallenge. The second one is to empirically test a research protocol in order to investigate a casestudy about forced migrants alternative forms of admittance.The third aim is providing an exploratory typology in order to better describe and frame thedynamics of this on going complex phenomenon.
