In this paper, the Author deals with the notion of dismissal for justified objective reasons. The historical evolution of this normative concept is observed from the point of view of the various actors on the “scene” of economic dismissals: employers, workers, scholars, judges and the legislator. Through an examination of the interpretative judicial paths in the field of dismissal for justified objective reasons, the Author comes to a definition of contents and boundaries of the concept in the current case law.
