Brigitta Falkner (*1959) is an Austrian author-artist, who produces texts of extreme formal and technical complexity. Once, they would have been defined 'verbovisual', later expanded into e-poetry through real animated short films. At the centre of this contribution there is the intermedial aspect of this production, in particular the digital film production. Both in Falkner's works in book form and film form, the boundaries between word and image are constantly overcome. Falkner also reinvents codified literary forms constantly: from her production, new forms always emerge in a continuous process that crosses performativity and performance over the page. This happens before their 'staging' in e-poetry within the digital film form. Fundamental in this process is the hybridization with comics, which becomes, in her latest work, a hybridization with the form of the graphic novel: a coherent development and landing place for Falkner's path.

Abstract
Fundamental in this process is the hybridization with comics, which becomes, in her latest work, a hybridization with the form of the graphic novel: a coherent development and landing place for Falkner's path.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
