Urban Grammars and Evolving Landscapes. A Generative Approach to the Reproduction of the Historic City

This contribution concerns the formation of models for the evaluation and programming of the interventions to support the management of the conservation processes of the historic urban fabrics. Concerning the case study of the Historic Centre of Ragusa Superiore, it proposes an evaluation and programming model aimed at attributing the Intervention Categories to the Architectural Units of the urban fabric and, inside the latter, a model for classifying the architectural units as bearers of significance on the grounds of a generative type urban grammar. The classification is carried out through three models: the first based on observation, the second on a model of Dominance based on the Rough Sets, the third on the Fuzzy Cluster Analysis.
