After presenting various manuscripts showing the Italian vulgarisation of the Liber, the paper focuses on a group of related manuscripts and in particular on the text of the ms. Venezia, bibl. Marciana, IT Z 11, in order to show the transformation undergone by the model in the linguistic passage. A simplified, ideological rewriting, in which the Liber experientiae becomes a Life of sanctity, translating the undefinable and eccentric path of Angela into an image of perfection.
