The site of Valcorrente (Belpasso, CT) was frequented from the Neolithic to the Early Bronze Age. To define the absolute chronology of the sequence of the various phases, an ad hoc sampling of pottery fragments was made for absolute dating measurements by ThermoLuminescence (TL) and Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) methodologies. The results obtained have been compared to date the different stratigraphic units involved in the sampling collection and to obtain an accurate chronology of the site. The contribution, after a brief discussion of the fundamental phases of the TL and OSL dating methodologies of terracotta artifacts, describes the samples collected in the site and the chronology obtained from them, compared with the dates obtained from the C14 method applied to animal bones deriving from some stratigraphic units.
