Pedagogy of Governance: Social Regulation Beyond the Legislative Rationality

The concept of governance, all things consid- ered, risks being a paradoxical concept. A concept without a concept, one might be tempted to say, if this did not sound too provocative. A concept that does not claim to reduce a multiplicity to a unity, but rather to show the complexity of the world in which it is created, and the lack of any possible (and simple) unity. And, in fact, the problem of governance is nothing but this: understanding how it is possible to govern a complexity.
