The contribution proposes a path of reflection on the topographies of the soul and on the encounter between the self and the divine, through the example of the thirteenth-century Umbrian mystic Angela da Foligno, as described in her Memorial. The frame of reference is comparative and moves between the Middle Ages and Modernity, including some references to Islamic mysticism and above all following some significant points of the interior journey of Carl Gustav Jung, as narrated in the Red Book.
