Based on some reflections elabo- rated through several years of empirical research in inner and marginalised areas in Italy, this chapter explores the epistemologies, methods, practices and policies aimed at fostering an inte- grated approach based on the care of landscapes. A map of research studies is proposed for exploring the opportuni- ties of a deep socio-ecological transition: from models made of extractive econo- mies to new alliances between humans and the environment. Thus, this chapter also aims to point out some examples of territorial governance structures that can enable renewed relations of land- scapes’ care within socio-ecosystems in inner and marginal areas, in the pursuit of access to resources for all and of a collective well-being horizon.

Abstract
Based on some reflections elabo- rated through several years of empirical research in inner and marginalised areas in Italy, this chapter explores the epistemologies, methods, practices and policies aimed at fostering an inte- grated approach based on the care of landscapes. A map of research studies is proposed for exploring the opportuni- ties of a deep socio-ecological transition: from models made of extractive econo- mies to new alliances between humans and the environment. Thus, this chapter also aims to point out some examples of territorial governance structures that can enable renewed relations of land- scapes’ care within socio-ecosystems in inner and marginal areas, in the pursuit of access to resources for all and of a collective well-being horizon.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
