In 1902, the neologisms sicalipsis and sicalíptico were added to the “sexual” lexicon already in use. Prescinding from the most studied contexts of occurrence (e.g. theatre, novel), the following pages offer instead some reflections on the traceability of the two neologisms in the Spanish press of the early 20th century.
