Il conflitto globale vs locale e le eccellenze agroalimentari. Un'analisi in Puglia e Sicilia

The globalisation of the market in the last decades has led to a great standardisation of products in generaland of agrofood products in particular. There is at present a cultural tendency contrary to standardisation where localproducts find to be re-evaluated. Typical and traditional products contribute to authentic gastronomic experiences oftourists offering a link between food, territory and tourism. The study intends to emphasise the role of planning to promotethe production of typical products thus creating synergetic effects as well as other integrated activities to give value toimage of a region. The results show the benefits of using quality food and other instrument as an instrument for regionalimage development in the construction and maintenance of an attractive food tourism.
