Un sentimento estremo del teatro.L’opera di Giovanni Testori nelle produzioni sceniche contemporanee

The thesis reconstructs and interprets the scenic fortune of Giovanni Testori’s work, through the documentation and analysis of the theatrical performances based on his texts. The growing theatrical rediscovery of the Lombard writer boasts a rich and varied set of performances, that is a theatrical heritage of great depth, which this research explores and analyses through the methodological tools of modern theaterlogy. Located within a specific theoretical framework that concerns the memory of the theater and the theatrical heritage as an intangible cultural heritage, the analysis of the new Testorian scene is heuristically divided into three times; and it investigates the reasons and modalities of the post-dramatic reactivation of the performances brought on stage, formulating and demonstrating the hypothesis of a specific functionality of the meta-fictional technique of Testori’s dramaturgy within the performative patterns of the contemporary scene.

La tesi ricostruisce e interpreta la fortuna scenica dell’opera di Giovanni Testori, attraverso la documentazione e l’analisi degli spettacoli teatrali basati sui suoi testi. La crescente riscoperta teatrale dello ‘scrivano’ lombardo vanta un corpus di performance ricco e variegato, vale a dire un patrimonio spettacolare di grande spessore, che questa ricerca esplora e analizza attraverso gli strumenti metodologici della moderna teatrologia. Situata all’interno di uno specifico frame teorico che concerne la memoria del teatro e il patrimonio teatrale inteso come bene culturale intangibile, l’analisi della nuova scena testoriana è euristicamente scandita in tre tempi; e indaga le ragioni e le modalità della riattivazione postdrammatica degli spettacoli portati in scena, formulando e dimostrando l’ipotesi di una specifica funzionalità della tecnica meta-finzionale della drammaturgia di Testori all’interno dei pattern performativi propri della scena contemporanea.
