The research work elaborated new methodological systems of virtual connection between the visible museum collections (displayed to the public), the invisible museum collections (stored in repositories) and the places of origin, in order to realise a form of territorial contextualisation. This was possible thanks to the collaboration with the authorities in charge of the preservation and protection of the CH. The study is based on in-depth historical research conducted in the archives and on the geometric and formal analysis of the returns from the survey data conducted with TLS and photogrammetry. The final outcome is the composition in units of the studied pieces through digital and material reconstructive hypotheses by means of 3D printing. The methodology implemented an alternative tool for the protection of historical heritage and the communication of cultural and artistic content through the use of digital technologies. The products, both tangible and intangible, make it possible to disseminate the ‘silent’ museum heritage in a virtual and tactile manner to save it from oblivion and to systematise knowledge as a tool for the protection and dissemination of knowledge.

Abstract
The products, both tangible and intangible, make it possible to disseminate the ‘silent’ museum heritage in a virtual and tactile manner to save it from oblivion and to systematise knowledge as a tool for the protection and dissemination of knowledge.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
