The paradox of today’s Europe is that facts lose value to become unrecognizable, illegible, invisible, while self-referential symbols become values. In the great procedural liturgies of our time facts give way to the value of symbols, of the "keywords". How important, then, if people have certain anthropological, biological or experiential characteristics? What matters is the new symbol of man, the latest techno-scientific project, aiming to upset the order of facts and inject into the bodies the image of their intangible non-existence.

Abstract
The paradox of today’s Europe is that facts lose value to become unrecognizable, illegible, invisible, while self-referential symbols become values. In the great procedural liturgies of our time facts give way to the value of symbols, of the "keywords". How important, then, if people have certain anthropological, biological or experiential characteristics? What matters is the new symbol of man, the latest techno-scientific project, aiming to upset the order of facts and inject into the bodies the image of their intangible non-existence.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
