The implementation of a system of environmental accountability in local governments. The applicative case of the City Council of Catania

The carrying out of the work will be characterised by a series of phases, that, starting with the recognition of the structural conditions and the presentation of information of an environmental nature, will try to work out a structural model according to the tools of work listed beforehand, adapting it to the local government in question and trying to repeat the experience of the first sponsors of this initiative. The achievement of such a system for the City Council of Catania should represent, in the local field, the experimentation of a new system of environmental accountability, set up according to recent laws on the subject and in perfect agreement with the relative European projects for local governments.
