This paper presents a study focused on comparing optimization methods applied to three distinct lattice structure: Octet, FCC, and BCC. The comparison was carried out through a comprehensive review of the relevant literature using the Google Scholar database. Various factors were considered, including the additive manufacturing process and corresponding materials, the software used for structural design and simulation, the geometric parameters, and the improvement obtained. It has been observed that certain optimization techniques, such as the addition of struts, can enhance the energy absorption capacity of lattice structures by increasing their relative density. In comparison, methods such as curved lattice designs were found to alleviate stress concentrations at the nodal points, leading to a more uniform stress distribution. Furthermore, the study highlighted that utilizing 1D elements in simulation analyses significantly reduces computation time while preserving result accuracy.
