Abstract

the paper presents the results of the field surveys conducted in some of the hillforts sites and fortified storehouses in the Pavlla and Bistrica river valleys in southern Albania. Challenges related to accessibility, lack of stratigraphic data and the rapidly changing landscape make it necessary to adopt work strategies on a case-by-case basis. Fieldwalking and topographic surveys by drone, laser scanning and GNSS were employed to update the available documentation and obtain new data for the study of individual sites and their spatial context.
