Building construction costs are regularly said to be the biggest obstacle to ecofriendly design. It is common opinion that eco designed buildings are more expensive than conventionally constructed ones. Our personal observation is that 'certain' kinds of design are at least as expensive as a normal construction. The aim of this paper is to range all the green possibility correlations among expenses and efficiency achieved to show evidence that green constructions may not be too expensive as general opinion may think.

Abstract

Building construction costs are regularly said to be the biggest obstacle to ecofriendly design. It is common opinion that eco designed buildings are more expensive than conventionally constructed ones. Our personal observation is that 'certain' kinds of design are at least as expensive as a normal construction. The aim of this paper is to range all the green possibility correlations among expenses and efficiency achieved to show evidence that green constructions may not be too expensive as general opinion may think.
