The text, which aims to be an easily usable tool adapted to new knowledge in compliance with pedagogical methodologies, comprises 51 chapters divided into 6 sections. The first section, Introductory topics, focuses on Gastroenterology. The second section is concentrated on Diseases of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. The third section focuses on the Pathologies of the small intestine and colon. The fourth section describes Liver diseases. The fifth section, Diseases of the biliary tract and pancreas. The sixth section, Emergencies in Gastroenterology. Each chapter starts with the didactic objectives, which represent a study guide, and closes with an indication of the critical concepts of the subject matter. As in the previous editions, the work comprises a paper volume and multimedia content attached to it, which can be accessed online from the UNIGASTRO website. The student can find, organized with an interactive gamification methodology, examples of clinical cases grouped by symptoms of diagnostic procedures, as well as in-depth information sheets and multiple-choice self-assessment quizzes.

Cineca, l’Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia e il Focus Group IRIS non si assumono alcuna responsabilità in merito all’uso che il diretto interessato o terzi faranno della simulazione. Si specifica inoltre che la simulazione contiene calcoli effettuati con dati e algoritmi di pubblico dominio e deve quindi essere considerata come un mero ausilio al calcolo svolgibile manualmente o con strumenti equivalenti.
