We study the supercurrent of small size Josephson junctions coupled to quantum-mechanical environments. For a linear environment quantum fluctuations of frequency larger than a characteristic scale are effective in renormalizing the critical current. Multijunction circuits provide unconventional kinds of environment and a modified critical picture.
