The paper investigates architectural and social forms between the Late Bronze Age and the Iron Age within the Mediterranean context, focusing on the relationship between oikos, polis, and structures of economic and kin-based power. Through the analysis of settlements such as Lefkandi, Zagora, Vroulià, and Akragas, it develops a long-term functional interpretation of architecture as both political and symbolic space. The study combines archaeological, literary, and linguistic evidence to outline the dynamics of cultural interaction and shared dwelling models across the Mediterranean.
