Abstract
A series of high-resolution numerical simulations of flows in porous media are presented using the Lattice Boltzmann Method. The method is a recent tool for investigating complex hydrodynamic flows in two and three dimensions, and overcomes two major drawbacks of Boolean lattice gas simulations, ie. statistical noise and the use of large, special tables. Quantitative evaluations of permeability as a function of porosity are presented.File in questo prodotto:
