The point of synthesis of the entire analysis so far supported is the re-evaluation of the concept of person as a human life. Biological life and personality cannot be separated: they form an objective whole. What Descartes had separated has to be recomposed in some way, certainly not dreaming of forms of re-enchantment, that could not be re-established, thanks, above all, to the splendid development of natural sciences. From Descartes on, the person is detached from his own life and corporality, to be identified with the properties of consciousness. The ultimate meaning of the reflections of Agazzi is rather that all the acts of the person are human acts and expressions of a real personality.

Abstract
The point of synthesis of the entire analysis so far supported is the re-evaluation of the concept of person as a human life. Biological life and personality cannot be separated: they form an objective whole. What Descartes had separated has to be recomposed in some way, certainly not dreaming of forms of re-enchantment, that could not be re-established, thanks, above all, to the splendid development of natural sciences. From Descartes on, the person is detached from his own life and corporality, to be identified with the properties of consciousness. The ultimate meaning of the reflections of Agazzi is rather that all the acts of the person are human acts and expressions of a real personality.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
