I TERRITORI DEL PARCO LETTERARIO "LA TERRA IMPAREGGIABILE" DI SALVATORE QUASIMODO. RECUPERO DELLA MEMORIA E VALORIZZAZIONE SOSTENIBILE. THE TERRITORIES OF THE LITERARY PARK "LA TERRA IMPAREGGIABILE" BY SALVATORE QUASIMODO. RECOVERY OF REMINISCENCE, VALORIZATION AND ECONOMIC GROWTH

Abstract ‐ Living in a world today were we are always more struck by the uniformity of values and the way of living imposed by the globalization, the recovery of the territorial identity and the preservation of the landscape constitute the last chance to maintain the cultural diversity in the world. Finally reaching the consciousness of the great importance in the recovery of all the cultural identities of all the territories, the knowledge of historical geography and the restoration of resources that were thrown away with great carelessness and despise, all in the name of progress. De‐spite its huge cultural and scenic heritage, Sicily continues to not be considered for its worth and one of the best means that would be suitable to come out of the tunnel of degradation and of the economic backwardness could be located in the “literary parks”, after adequate territorial interventions for the recovery of the environment, landscape, historical and artistic heritage, that should launch a form of “tourisme dourable”, that maintains the complete preserva‐tion of the landscape for future generations. The “literary park”, besides restoring the reminisce and the emotional and visual experiences of the author, presents itself as an effective instrument for the protection of the territories in‐volved, the rediscovery of local craftsmanship and the beginning of sustainable cultural tourism. Of the eight “parks” in existence today in Sicily, the “literary park” by Salvatore Quasimodo was chosen, because it embraces a very vast area, that includes the territories belonging to the municipality of “Ragusano and Siracusano, but also Messinese”, which offers quite a complete description of the numerous landscapes that exist on the island, some of which totally unknown, not only to the international touristic class, but also to the actual Sicilians.

Oggi, sempre più colpiti dall’uniformità dei valori e dei modi di vivere imposti dalla dittatura della globa‐lizzazione, il recupero dell’identità territoriale e la salvaguardia attiva del paesaggio costituiscono l’ultima posta in gioco per il mantenimento della diversità culturale nel mondo. Finalmente si è giunti alla consapevolezza dell’importanza della conoscenza storico‐geografica del territorio e del ripristino delle sue risorse, buttate via con grande nonchalance e disprezzo in nome del progresso. Nonostante il suo immenso patrimonio culturale e paesaggi‐stico, la Sicilia continua ad essere poco valorizzata e uno degli strumenti più idonei per uscire dal tunnel del degrado e dell’arretratezza economica potrebbe essere individuato nei parchi letterari, visti quali strumenti idonei per la rea‐lizzazione di una forma di tourisme dourable tesa al mantenimento dell’integrità dei paesaggi, al ripristino del ricordo dei luoghi e delle esperienze emozionali e visive dell’autore e alla tutela attiva dei territori interessati e delle realtà locali. Degli otto parchi oggi esistenti in Sicilia si è qui scelto il Parco Letterario di Salvatore Quasimodo perché, abbracciando un’area molto vasta, che comprende sia i territori dei comuni del Ragusano e Siracusano che del Messinese, offre un quadro abbastanza completo dei molteplici paesaggi esistenti nell’isola, alcuni dei quali quasi del tutto sconosciuti, non soltanto al circuito turistico internazionale, ma anche agli stessi Siciliani.
