The study examines the clinical and bacteriological efficacy of a polyvalente antigenic preparation in elderly patients with diarrhoic abdomen. Sixty patients of geriatric age were chosen and were subdivided into two groups, each of n.30 patients. The first group (A) was treated with the antigenic preparation in fial formulation, while the other group (B) was treated with the same preparation in tavblet formation. Faeces samples from all patients were examined before and after treatment. In both groups, after therapy with the polyvalent preparation, cocci and clostridi reduction and lactobacilli, bifidobacteri and proprionibacteri increase was found. Therefore, the clinica and bacteriologica results obtained show that the polyvalent antigenic preparation normalizes the bacterial intestinal microflora in elderly patients.
