Membership to a social group could be the hub of the life of a subject as well as social groups to which he/her feels to belongs could be a fundamental reference of his/her everyday life. In fact, these groups could also influence his/her choices of action. During adolescence it is very important to establish meaningful links. Also, it can be crucial to develop the above-mentioned sense of belonging and identification with positive social groups in order to contain the natural need of transgression that is typical at this age. Thus, for the prevention of pre-adolescent and adolescent distress it becomes fundamental to take care of membership contexts. However, these memberships must be observed both through the complexities of age and relationships to the world of adults and in the context of a globalized and multicultural society that is inclined to send, through social groups, messages that are contradictory and sometimes lack any values of reference.

Abstract
Membership to a social group could be the hub of the life of a subject as well as social groups to which he/her feels to belongs could be a fundamental reference of his/her everyday life. In fact, these groups could also influence his/her choices of action. During adolescence it is very important to establish meaningful links. Also, it can be crucial to develop the above-mentioned sense of belonging and identification with positive social groups in order to contain the natural need of transgression that is typical at this age. Thus, for the prevention of pre-adolescent and adolescent distress it becomes fundamental to take care of membership contexts. However, these memberships must be observed both through the complexities of age and relationships to the world of adults and in the context of a globalized and multicultural society that is inclined to send, through social groups, messages that are contradictory and sometimes lack any values of reference.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
