The aim of this study is to examine the correlation between microbiological and clinical signs of non-specific vaginitis ( or "vaginosis") due to Gardnerella vaginalis and anaerobes.The microbiological parameters investigated were the qualitative and quantitative presence of lactobacilli, anaerobes and G. vaginalis.The diagnostic parameters considered included pH and the presence of anaerobes were correlated with G.vaginalis.
