The aim of this work is to introduce the Pet Therapy as a mean for treating people’s mental illnesses, especially children’s. This paper presents the passage from the Social Agriculture to the real application of Pet Therapy to cases in which the patients is afflicted by autism or other mental diseases, Pet therapy is the clinical application of the zoo-anthropological model and this paper aims to describe how Pet therapy processes are connected to Social Agriculture.
