The surface photo-oxidation of styrene/2-(2-hydroxy-5-vinylphenyl)-2H-benzotriazole (HVB) copolymers in the presence of two different antioxidants has been studied by ESCA. The results indicate that in order to protect the surface of such materials properly, it is necessary to combine the copolymer with a small percentage of antioxidant. Bis-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl)-sebacate has been found to be very effective.

Abstract
The surface photo-oxidation of styrene/2-(2-hydroxy-5-vinylphenyl)-2H-benzotriazole (HVB) copolymers in the presence of two different antioxidants has been studied by ESCA. The results indicate that in order to protect the surface of such materials properly, it is necessary to combine the copolymer with a small percentage of antioxidant. Bis-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl)-sebacate has been found to be very effective.File in questo prodotto:
