Considerazioni tassonomiche sui generi Catapodium Link, Desmazeria Dumort. e Castellia Tineo (Poaceae) in Italia [Taxonomical remarks on the genera Catapodium Link, Desmazeria Dumort. and Castellia Tineo (Poaceae) in Italy]

The authors examine some critical genera of Poaceae of the Italian flora, as Catapodium Link, Desmazeria Dumort. and Castellia Tineo. According to several authors, these taxa are well-differentiated among them both for the shape and for the indumentum of the lemma. Moreover, the Italian species belonging to these genera are listed and surveyed from the nomenclatural, morphological, chorological and ecological point of view. They are: Catapodium rigidum ssp. rigidum and ssp. majus, C. hemipoa, C. balearicum, C. zwierleinii, C. pauciflorum, Desmazeria sicula, D. pignattii and Castellia tuberculosa. Besides, the occurrence of Catapodium marinum in Italy and in the Mediterranean area is excluded. The iconography and the analytical keys of the examined taxa are given too.
