Abstract

We report the case of a child with Langerhans cell histiocytosis who experienced a minor response to treatment but then developed exophthalmus and seizures, and rapidly died. Magnetic resonance imaging showed signs suggestive of CNS involvement. These features suggested neurological progression of disease. Surveillance by MRI might help recognize and treat signs of neurological involvement when evolution is not so rapid
