A taxonomical study on the populations belonging to the Astragalus creticus group occurring in Crete has been carried out. Three taxa have been recognized, A. creticus Lam. subsp. creticus, A. creticus Lam. subsp. minoicus subsp. nova, and A. dolinicolus (Brullo and Giusso) Brullo and Giusso. Each taxon is illustrated and examined from the morphological, ecological, and chorological point of view. The relationships with the other allied species of the Astragalus creticus group are emphasized, and an analytical key of the treated taxa is given.
