The present study investigates the nature of mouth actions in Italian Sign Language (LIS) and showshow the manual and the oral modality can be intergrated when the visual gestural channel is chosen for communication. Finally the role played by mouth actions in sign language will be investigated and paralleled to co-speech gesture.
Il presente studio analizza la natura delle azioni labiali nella lingua dei segni italiana e mostra come la modalità manuale e orale possano essere integrate quando la modalità comunicativa è gestuale. Infine verranno confrontati i ruoli del gesto co-verbale e del gesto labiale.
