We describe kinematics, kinetics and electromyographicpatterns of a patient with spinal myoclonusof the left lower limb, during walking. Gait analysis wasperformed when the patient was OFF and ON his treatmentwith antiepileptic drugs. When OFF, we mainly observedclonic bursts and out-of-phase activations of m. tibialisanterior and m. rectus femoris, with increased hip flexion,reduction of knee flexion during swing and excessiveankle dorsal flexion. Furthermore, large oscillations ofknee moment of force and power during stance phase werealso observed. These abnormal patterns markedly recoveredwhen ON drugs.
