Tumour (Frantz's) solid-pseudopapillary of the pancreas: review and case report

Solid-pseudopapillary tumour of the pancreas (SPT) is a rare neoplasm known to affect predominantly young women. The presenting symptoms can be vague and non-specific. The case is described of SPT in a 46-year old Chinese man who presented with postprandial bloatedness and a left upper qua- drant mass. A review of the literature on the clinical characteri- stics, pathology and management of SPT is presented.Key words: Frantz’s tumour, pancreas, solid-pseudopapillary tumour

Il tumore solido - pseudopapillare del pancreas (SPT) è un neoplasia rara che colpisce le donne prevalentemente giovani.I sintomi che presenta possono essere vaghi e non specifi- ci.
