A newindexing approach (Index of Lichen Potential Deterioration Activity) was recently suggested to assess and quantify the adverse effects of lichens. In thisstudy, the Index was applied to the cemetery of Linguaglossa (Catania, Sicily,Italy), where 43 taxa were listed.
