Studies on Enrichment of Varieties Assortment at Autumn Cabbage Brassica oleracea L. var. capitata

The aim of the paper was to present ‘Silviana’ cultivar set up at the VegetableResearch and Development Station Bacau, Romania. Cabbage is very appreciated andrequested on the Romanian market but of interest is to introduce new cultivarsappreciated both for yield and quality traits. Compared to other Romanian cultivars,‘Silviana’ is distinguished by a yield of about 98 t ha-1, and the produce ischaracterized by 6.2% of soluble glucides, 0.2% of lipids, 8.9% of total dry matter and0.71% of mineral content. For its interesting agronomical and technological traits‘Silviana’ starts to be interesting both for growers and consumers.
