Abstract: This paper aims to present a philological-literary analysis of vv. 97-132 of Endelechius’s De mortibus boum, which constitute the last section of this short poem, concerning the miraculous healing of Tityrus’s flock. After the examination of the work’s structure (vv. 1-132), through an intertextual analysis the author defines the literary characters and identifies the loci similes, which could be useful for the interpretation of the work (particularly those not adequately taken into consideration by previous critics). Finally, at the end of the paper, attention is focused on the objectives and recipients of the work.
