the attention towards textile manufacture has been the focus of many books, articles and initiatives in the last 10 years, but less interest has been demonstrated for the social aspect of spinning or weaving. This aspect is dealt with in Breniquet's book, with many intersting issues. Some aspects are however worth of a deeper analysis, especially concerning iconography, according to an approach modelled by Militello 1998 and further considerations. Icongraphy is in fact a multilevel message, whose interpretation depends however from socially related conditions.

Abstract
the attention towards textile manufacture has been the focus of many books, articles and initiatives in the last 10 years, but less interest has been demonstrated for the social aspect of spinning or weaving. This aspect is dealt with in Breniquet's book, with many intersting issues. Some aspects are however worth of a deeper analysis, especially concerning iconography, according to an approach modelled by Militello 1998 and further considerations. Icongraphy is in fact a multilevel message, whose interpretation depends however from socially related conditions.File in questo prodotto:
