this paper aims to read the new Tunisian Constitution in the light of the crucial surrounding socio-political vents, in order to assess their effects on the constituent's choices. Within the cleavages discussed (cultural, territorial, intergenerational) in the survey, the most significant is the cultural one in order to unearth, through a comparison with the 1959 Constitution, the 2014 Charter's character of collective process and its main function as instrument of social cohesion and inclusion
